Codiple Studio Inc is a leading tech company in Canada specializing in delivering innovative web and mobile solutions. We are looking for an experienced WordPress Developer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of WordPress development, a strong background in PHP, and a passion for creating seamless and dynamic websites. You will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including creating WordPress themes and plugins.

What you will do

  • Site Building: Build responsive and user-friendly websites, ensuring cross-browser compatibility and performance optimization.
  • Customization: Customize existing themes and plugins to meet specific project needs.
  • Integration: Integrate third-party services and APIs with WordPress sites.
  • Maintenance & Updates: Manage and maintain WordPress websites, including regular updates, troubleshooting, and security monitoring.
  • Theme & Plugin Development: Develop custom WordPress themes and plugins based on client requirements.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with designers, project managers, and other developers to ensure project success.
  • Documentation: Create and maintain technical documentation for projects and codebases.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of WordPress development and build a custom solution for our client.
  • In-depth understanding of performance/security considerations.
  • Developing/modifying custom WordPress/Woo-Commerce themes and plugins.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL. Experience with page builders like Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg.
  • Security: Knowledge of WordPress security best practices and common vulnerabilities.
  • Communication: Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.

Preferred Qualification

  • Experience with WooCommerce and eCommerce integrations.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and JSON.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management tools like Jira or Trello.
